Hi all,

I hope I’m not intruding too much on the jubilation that is going on right
now at FFT. However, that being said, I will!

I just received a phone call from the FFT gang. Apparently I’m missing a
celebration. Ch. FFT Fernando went Best in Show today. I don’t know where, as
I couldn’t get to the phone in time to ask any questions. I can tell you
from experience, I believe him to be an exceptional representation of the
breed. I would like to offer my congratulations for a BIS well deserved. It is
very nice to, once again, see our absolutely fabulous breed win a Best in
Show.

Ask us! Just ask us! How did the shows go?

Yippee!! Fernando was awarded Best In Show Saturday. Best In Show!! And, hey, we even got to celebrate because it happened Saturday!

This an achievement of a life-time. Breeder/owner/handled Best In Show dogs are few and far between.

We had a blast. The young dogs - many on a ‘training trip’ did great. Ethan, Chloe, Rumor and Savion picked up a major each. Between the cameras of Melissa, Ginny, Vickie and me, there’s lots of fun photos. But, butt, where are they? Stay tuned!

Darn work anyway. It always interferes with fun.

I’m back from a whirlwind tour of the Windy City. Great photos to follow.

Lots of other stuff to add to the blog, including Katy’s awesome portrait of Raji. Time, in time, in the near future look for this, along with other fun stuff sent to me by you out there. I so appreciate these things, these sound and image bytes that continue to build this community!

Dante won Best of Breed both days at the Terry-All Kennel Club shows and made the cut in the group Saturday. Way to go Dante and Vickie!

Ginny piloted Ethan to BW under breeder/judge Mary Schroeder for his first points.

Tammy and her six-year old son Matthew had fun showing my puppies, Wyatt and Thateus.

Haven’t gotten an update from Julie regarding the Sunday shows she attended, but Saturday Fernando won Best of Breed. Damon’s daughter, bred and owned by Karen from Wisconsin won Best Puppy and First in the puppy Non-Sporting Group.

Saving the best for last…Melissa’s Josie finished her Championship with a 3-point major. Congrats!!

One month a three day sweep, including Best Bred-By Exhibitor in the Non-Sporting Group, to become a Champion.

The next month Saul Gets Lucky! That’s what I tell my dogs when they’re leaving for their forever home. Sauley Man, today you Get Lucky! Obviously, his new owners felt the same. Here’s a note I received Tuesday night from Charlene:
I am so excited!  I feel like a child at Christmas, and this is Christmas Eve.  

Here’s Saul with his new owners, David and Charlene on Wednesday afternoon… 

Charlene wrote this last night:

We have had a wonderful day.  Saul has been tethered to one of us all day.  We took him on 2 walks.  He loved it!  I was afraid to give him much in the way of table food, but I did give him a little bacon, a little bit of sausage.   I was worried it would up set his tummy. He is really so sweet, and I am sure we have very many fun days ahead.  I am sure that Dave will want to e-mail you with his take on the day.  We are going all ot what we have read and it seems to doing well.

You guys…I don’t know if all these posts this morning reflect how far behind I was. Or working through my grief about Genevieve. But, here I continue to sit, plunking away at the keyboard.
