If you’re wondering if a retired show/breeding dog is for you, read this. Shipping can be arranged to approved homes, weather permitting. Some new owners choose to fly themselves and hand carry their new dog back to its Forever Home. If you are interested in purchasing a puppy or dog from us, please  fill out the questionnaire, provide two references, along with your veterinarian’s name, address and phone number. Understand that we are looking for FOREVER homes and reserve the right to REFUSE anyone.

Each FFT litter is planned with the breeding program itself as top priority. This means we keep at least one – sometimes two- from each litter. With rare exception, the rest of the puppies are placed in pet homes. That’s the lifestyle we prefer for our puppies. We select which puppy will be going to which home, based on a number of factors including individual temperament, ages of people in the new household and requests from each buyer.

The FFT dogs all come with a health guarantee. Puppies must be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age, at which time we will release their AKC registration to you. Our puppies usually leave for their new home between 10 and 12 weeks of age, depending on their litter size and development. All of our puppies are born in our homes, usually in the living room next to the couch, since they tend to be born during the night. They are all raised within our home, socialized with people, children and other pets. We require a non-refundable $200 deposit at 2 weeks of age to hold your puppy which is applied to the final price of $1000.00. Our Lhasa Apsos represent generations of our breeding program and an intimate knowledge of those dogs, including their health and temperament. Our experience is applied to each and every breeding to produce, indeed, champions of competition and family pets of great character.

Debby’s Gompa Lhasa Apso litters are planned with the mission, objectives and goals of the Gompa Lhasa Apso Preservation Program as top priority. That mission is to perpetuate the extremely rare lineage of dogs from Tibet known as the Gompa Lhasa Apsos. These dogs are registered with both GLAPP and UKC; they aren’t eligible for AKC registration. It is important to realize that the rescue of this lineage is an ongoing project. Possession of a Gompa dog comes with an agreement to participate in the Preservation Program. Puppies are registered to Debby, not the dog’s host. The Gompa dogs do not come with a health guarantee. Luxating patellas and prolapsed third eye glands (PTEG or “cherry eye”) are issues being addressed within the Program. Hosts assume responsibility for the dog’s care for the rest of its life. This may include surgery to repair PTEG and luxating patellas. When there are puppies available, Debby will be seeking homes with experienced, willing-to-think-outside-the-box breeders.
